We have been busy writing a diary entry for the “Jolly Postman”

As we have been using positional language in our maths lessons over the last few weeks, we decided to challenge ourselves by drawing a map of our school grounds. 🗺

Our last piece of writing on the “Jolly Christmas Postman”. Today using our Pie Corbett story map, we were able to write a recap of the story. Our favourite part was the gift from Little Red Riding Hood. 📮

We have had a very different start to our day in dosbarth un. We have been busy learning about how life in Wales has changed through the years. We all agreed that household tasks in the past were all very tiring! Huge thank you to the Winding House 🧺

With a bit of practice I’m sure we will have all of the whites sparkling! 👍

Today we discovered the true importance of working as a team. We attempted to make our very own outdoor shelters using nothing but rope, sheets and our communication skills. So proud of the ideas, problem solving skills and emotional intelligence displayed by all pupils.

Bendigedig pawb! The Criw Cymraeg led an excellent assembly yet again. I was so pleased to hear about the variety of language patterns used throughout the school. Pupils oracy skills are continuing to develop week on week. A huge da iawn to Mrs Davies-Box to in Pengam Year 3 !

We were surprised to find our instructions from Rachel this morning have been ruined! We are going to work as a team to write our own instructions for our outside wash area. Wish us luck. 🧼 🧦

Today we hosted a washday in dosbarth un. We have been busy using the green screen and tasting traditional Welsh food. The pupils awareness of Wales in past is continuing to grow and develop throughout our topic. Huge thank you to Winding House for the use of the equipment.

Da iawn pawb! A huge diolch to the Criw Cymraeg who presented in yesterdays assembly. A huge well done to Mr Cooper Pengam Year 4 and Mrs Line Pengam Year 6 this week. Dosbarth pedwar have been using Welsh in their ICT sessions and Dosbarth chwech hosted a carousel of activities.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Today we conducted a test in dosbarth un. We have been busy building dens in our outdoor sessions as part of our new topic and we wanted to find a suitable material that would keep us all dry. We ran a test to see just how waterproof each material was.

What an amazing experience. A huge thank you to Louby Lou’s Storytelling for a fantastic day! Year 1 loved learning about Merlin and the dragon with Justin. 📖
