Joined Governor Josh Shapiro today in Bucks County for a ceremonial signing of House Bill 735. The new law works toward making flood insurance more affordable in Pennsylvania.

Had a great visit to Cumberland Goodwill with Fire Commissioner Tom Cook and PA Department of Health to talk about increasing grant funding for fire companies and EMS in PA. Governor Josh Shapiro wants to double the current funding to $60 million for 2024-25. This would be a huge win for public safety.

Thank you to the members of our wonderful emergency response community who made this possible. Whenever there's a community need, you can count on emergency responders to show up with their time, energy, and resources.

Something I love about emergency management is that we have to work together to get things done. Here at Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency we're working with Delaware River Basin Commission to mitigate flood risk along the Delaware River. For every $1 we spend on this project, we expect to save $6 in post-disaster recovery

I’ve partially activated our response center at Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency, which means that state officials are keeping a watchful eye on the situation. Let’s stay vigilant and safe out there, folks.

SCAM ALERT: If you receive a phone call from a sheriff’s office, claiming you have a warrant that can be cleared using Bitcoin, ignore it. It’s a scam. Pennsylvania State Police has seen a recent uptick in these kinds of thefts. Please help spread the word.

Thank you WGAL for having me on this AM to talk about #PreparednessMonth. ✅🎒⚠ For those who missed it, we talked about a few simple preparedness actions everyone can take: 1. Talk with family about what you'd do in an emergency 2. Have at least 2 ways to get alerts 3.

Two members of PA Task Force 1 are headed to Louisiana to support federal response operations ahead of #Francine. We know they will represent Pennsylvania well. Our thoughts are with all residents and first responders who are facing this dangerous storm.

I’ve spoken with Mayor Cherelle L. Parker and my team is in communication with PPD, Philadelphia OEM, and Philadelphia Fire. We are offering all Commonwealth resources as they respond to the small private plane crash in Northeast Philly. We’ll continue to provide updates as more information
