Joined Governor Josh Shapiro today in Bucks County for a ceremonial signing of House Bill 735. The new law works toward making flood insurance more affordable in Pennsylvania.
A strange honor, but an honor nonetheless. Thanks to my team at Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency for a making this birthday a memorable one!
Had a great visit to Cumberland Goodwill with Fire Commissioner Tom Cook and PA Department of Health to talk about increasing grant funding for fire companies and EMS in PA. Governor Josh Shapiro wants to double the current funding to $60 million for 2024-25. This would be a huge win for public safety.
Something I love about emergency management is that we have to work together to get things done. Here at Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency we're working with Delaware River Basin Commission to mitigate flood risk along the Delaware River. For every $1 we spend on this project, we expect to save $6 in post-disaster recovery

Two members of PA Task Force 1 are headed to Louisiana to support federal response operations ahead of #Francine. We know they will represent Pennsylvania well. Our thoughts are with all residents and first responders who are facing this dangerous storm.
I’ve spoken with Mayor Cherelle L. Parker and my team is in communication with PPD, Philadelphia OEM, and Philadelphia Fire. We are offering all Commonwealth resources as they respond to the small private plane crash in Northeast Philly. We’ll continue to provide updates as more information
PEMA team members are en route to Philadelphia to help respond to tonight's tragic plane crash. We stand ready to offer whatever state resources Philadelphia OEM and local first responders need as they lead response efforts. Our hearts go out to everyone affected.
My friend and colleague Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency Director Randy Padfield is just one of the thousands of brave first responders who ran towards danger on 9/11. Randy, our entire Commonwealth and nation thanks you for your service.
