a now for something completely different... a #writingq from me to you: how do you stay kind to yourself when you're burnt out on writing? what are your favorite non-writing self care activities?

I wish I was kinder to myself, generally. Getting outside and spending time out in my garden, watching things grow, helps keep me grounded in the present.

Most times when I'm burnt out, I find myself reaching for either a comfort story (book or show), or otherwise something new to binge, just to give my brain a break. If anything, I wonder if I'm being too kind to myself by absolutely losing myself in something unrelated lol.

ooo literally anything that gets me away from a screen... its really upsetting how much a walk around the block does for the doom and gloom vibe that publishing sometimes gives off lol
