One week ago today, Pat-Med staff members from all tiers rallied alongside 1,000+ NYSUT members to Fix Tier VI! Our impressive turnout made our voices heard and showcased solidarity. Thank you to all who came! On March 8, 2026, we will head to Albany to once again show support!

No one does Homecoming like Pat-Med! 🔴📣⚫️ That’s because so many wonderful PMCT members give up their Saturday to march with students in the Homecoming parade, watch grade-level skits, and cheer on PM’s football team. The teacher support in our community is like no other!

This month, PMCT honored our newly tenured teachers & teaching assistants in the district. Members gathered together to celebrate this outstanding achievement and receive their certificates and tenure pins. On behalf of PMCT, congrats to all on this impressive accomplishment!

PMCT STRONG 💪🏼🎀 This Sunday, our PMCT members showed up to Jones Beach bright and early to participate in the Making Strides walk for breast cancer awareness! We had a great turnout for a great cause! Thank you to all who walked and/or donated! 🩷

Did you know that October 22nd was Unity day, a day to wear orange and send a visible message to prevent bullying? Well, our teachers sure did! Here’s some of our awesome River Elementary staff members showing their Unity Day support!

Students in Mrs. Ricciardi’s 2nd grade class analyzed an infographic from My View to interact with this source in a meaningful way. They used a graphic organizer to write what the text says and why they believe it is important. Way to go, Mrs. Ricciardi’s class! ✍️💭💡

Eagle teachers and T.A.’s showed support for Breast Cancer Awareness month by wearing pink/PMCT apparel! 🎀

As a culminating activity to their geography unit, the third graders in Mrs. Cattell’s, Mrs. Scharf’s, and Ms. Palermo’s classes worked with their families to create pumpkin globes! Awesome job! 🎃🗺️🌎

Our PMCT attendees at the NYSUT Suffolk Regional Office Fall Leadership Conference heard important updates from NYSUT President, Melinda Person, and the offices of General Counsel & Member Benefits. They also underwent leadership development on how to best serve as a union rep.

Teacher and PMCT member, Simon Theodoropoulos, helped lead the Leo and Lions club food drive. Lions club donated $250 worth of gift cards to support families in need of a Thanksgiving meal! Great job!

Thank you to all the donors who came to PMCT's annual blood drive on November 20th at Oregon Middle School. We collected 33 pints of blood from current and retired PMCT members, administrators, and staff!

On Sunday, 12/7, over 30 PMCT members volunteered their time helping at the Kiwanis Club toy trot at Shorefront Park. We also had several PMCT members participating in the run! It was a fantastic morning and we are so thankful for each of our PMCT members who were able to attend!
