All eight of the teams who were promoted to the FA Women's National League from Tier 5 last season have successfully retained their league status. Brilliant to see, and a real sign of encouragement for any teams looking to progress and consolidate in the fourth tier (or above).

At its AGM held on 28th June, Hants FA members voted Vanessa Raynbird as its new President following a recommendation from the Nomination & Appointments Committee. Everyone at Hants FA offers our congratulations to Vanessa, who becomes the first ever female President.

The Metro Bank 50 over cup. Broadcasters not touching it until the glory stages but the fans love it. A full day's cricket, seeing both sides bat and bowl for longer than 3 hours, offers great value for the paying punter. I've seen some wonderful moments in this year's campaign
