Our aim is to get these kids through this attachment trauma as fast as possible by training parents in the rejected position to understand what is happening and how to help. Because the abusing parent can't or won't and the best therapist is a healthy parent.

I am working on a series of guidance videos for social workers today. Recovery from attachment trauma requires particular support, which social workers can support parents to provide. our training pathways teach structural therapeutic social work skills in child protection.

Today I am working with social workers. Structural social work interventions are a powerful way of protecting children who are trauma bonded to abusive parents, because behind the alignment there is often hidden harm at home - a concept readily understood by social workers.

Written by a young person who has recovered from the abuse she suffered after her parents divorce. Alienated children are trapped in the control of a coercive and unpredictable parent & the Family Courts are the only way to liberate them. Alienation is caused by coercion.

Creating fear of a parent in the mind of a child & sending them off to the care of that parent causes 'fright without solution', a recognised trauma response which impacts upon memory processing, which is also known as disorganised attachment.

As the Family Courts continue to identify the harms suffered by alienated children, making accurate assessment and treatment routes even more necessary, evidence-based, accredited training comes next.
