Overtime, these teeth do get pretty long and they have to have proper dental care to narrow down the height!

There’s an additional use to only having bottom teeth, alpacas don’t eat up all of the pasture grass like some horses and cows do. This reduces the amount of pasture maintenance farmers need to keep their grass growing!

At the same time, there are a couple things you probably shouldn't feed an alpaca... human foods like chips and candy 🚫🍭🍫 and animal products like eggs, milk, and honey 🚫🥚🥛🍯
