If you're uncomfortable doing new things without permission, you have a bad habit to break. This includes not just asking permission from others, but asking permission from yourself. For example: ❌ "Do I feel ready to achieve this goal?" ✅ "Does this task need to get done?"

I agree 100 percent with Mandrik! That is why The Cat is not a danger to anyone’s funds on Bitcoin. It is this culture that protects Bitcoin from confiscation in the first place. The key distinction is that abuses of the system are not “funds.”

Claire Ostrom I downloaded this video from this platform before I knew of your proposal. I do not know if this video fits the situation or not but video is funny and made me think of you.

Jim Conza Cato The Elder Claire Ostrom > Bitcoiners need to know their consensus-valid UTXO's can't be made unspendable by other bitcoiners. Non-activation of The Cat does not prevent it. Activation of The Cat does not enable it.

Bitcoin Core Project is absolutely cooked. If you care about fixing broken money, if you care about bitcoin, if you can about node runners, if you hate people who care more about themselves than about what's good for humanity. Run Bitcoin Knots and support Claire Ostrom 🦁

Per Grok, Satoshi’s ~1.1 Million Bitcoin accounts for 0.025% of the Bitcoin UTXO Set. Meanwhile, 235 Bitcoin account for 38% of the UTXO Set per Claire Ostrom And 50% of the UTXO Set is bloated by UTXOs less than 1,000 Sats per Matteo Pellegrini Food for thought.

Shinobi Is this the *only* confiscatory soft fork you oppose? To be specific, do you *also* want to roll back p2sh? x.com/i/status/20010…

I dislike consensus fights, but this proposal seems, to me, especially useful as litmus test for mailing list moderation health checks. Doesn't seem very healthy.

Linda It was always that way. You're helping people get scammed. It's just you're starting to see it after enough time finally. Bitcoin only.

Claire: Let's cleanup spam UTXOs and deter future non-financial use cases. Bitcoin Core: How about we just delete your wallets with all your Bitcoin?

Claire Ostrom (@ostrom72158) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Update/correction: the missing Dec 11 response was my mistake. I accidentally emailed Greg directly, not the bitcoin-dev list, so it never hit moderation/archives. Apologies for the confusion; note updated in the repo.

I have checked just now to see if I missed any mail, unlikely because I do not get a lot of email to this address. It is a standard new gmail account. The only email I have from Greg is Wed, Feb 11, 9:44 AM asking me to correct these claims.
