Buchanan Street station was never the busiest, and passenger services still operated out of the same wooden shed it had done since 1849. It was relatively close to Queen St but lacked the connection with the low-level and subway services. It was also in direct competition...

Anderston Cross in a future that never was. There's around half a dozen building depicted here that actually existed, and that survive today 🧐

That corner of Laurieston around Bridge Street and Carlton Place has been a vibe waiting to happen since the 1960s. Recapture the fine-grained urban eclecticism and mixed-use approach and it can't go wrong. Image by Duncan McCallum

📍 Glasgow Central Station - opened in 1879 it is now Scotland’s busiest train station with around 38 million passengers passing through it each year. This view gives an idea of how many different lines there are as they pass over the river Clyde. One for you Paul B Lyons.

Dumbarton Castle a 'what if' 2.0 of Dumbarton developing into one of the keys to the kingdom like the rock mass Castles of Edinburgh & Stirling. It always puzzled me why it didn't evolve in this way with the access to the sea highways for troops & trade. #DumbartonCastle

To be factual. The 15.6% council tax rise was voted through by a Labour-Independent majority. The minority SNP group proposed a lower rise in Council Tax. Do your fucking job properly and stop telling lies.

Driver's don't need to be treated with kid gloves, they're all fully grown adults responsible for their own behaviours. The real issue at play is the desirability of other options to driving which means national governments coughing up for some large scale transport investment

Spot the ball 🔍⚽️ Or rather spot the motorway - draw the path of the M8 through an intact Glasgow. Prizes range from likes to reposts 🤩
