Congratulations to our postdoc Sarah Naguib, PhD who joined just over a year ago, who received her F32 from NIH Aging on her first try and with flying colors!
Thrilled to share a preprint of my first PhD paper characterizing a new tool to study microglia in development and disease. I want to thank my PI, Tristan Qingyun Li, for his mentorship, and our collaborators, The Colonna Lab, Saligrama lab_WUSTL, Jonathan Kipnis 💔, and Dr. Guoqiang Yu!
Immunity Our paper on using the novel Clec7a-CreER mouse to label, track and manipulate PAM/DAM microglial states is finally out in Immunity Congrats to the first author Kia Barclay Kia Barclay Many thanks to the collaborators from The Colonna Lab Kipnis Lab Yu Lab @ Tsinghua Saligrama lab_WUSTL
Congratulations to first-author Kia Barclay on this great work! So amazing to see your journey as a scientist since you were a freshman doing research at Kenyon with me 🥹
Congrats to WUSTL ENDURE alum Kia Barclay Kia Barclay and Tristan Qingyun Li on your paper! Check out their cool way to track microglia that are happy vs angry.
Finally, we made a website so that anyone can query their gene of interest to see if it is rhythmically expressed in bulk tissue, astros or microglia. We also include aggregated plots so you can tell if your gene is upregulated in APP or normal aging. musieklab.shinyapps.io/Glial_Circadia…
