The writing on the primavera sound poster is driving me nuts but there is a lot of trade offs between the 2 weekends. Aaaaaahhhhh Might der Capital pulling me to the second at the moment.

Thought Clark’s album, ā€˜Playground in a lake’ was superb front to back. His new single ā€˜Suspension Reservoir’ taken from it is definitely one of the standouts. #NewMusic #NewMusicRelease

Never really got into jazz, until Kamasi Washington’s album ā€˜The Epic’. Since have days where I devote myself to it now, (age thing?) and Duke Ellington’s live album ā€˜Souk Cal’ is now a Sunday staple and ā€˜La Plus Belle Africaine’ has now become apart of me!! Sunday go to.

Freedom Day is Fuckin lol innit. Ffs. Fuckin freedom day. One gig then lockdown again. Rest of the world shuts us out. We play small towns all year after lockdown semi lifted. The gigs turn into fights with anti maskers. Proper sub civil war. Tear ups outside hotels. On stage.

Look forward to Mojo’s album of the year list annually, normally find some gems especially with music from around the world, but this years list is so bland and uninspiring.

We had to wait a while since the brilliant Yugen but lewis new album Agor is one of the best albums of the year. Still unmistakably lewis but with a dark Haxkn Cloak undertone.

My Spotify wrapped was a mirror of my laziness. I’m not creating playlists enough and listening to the same ones. Good tunes but not my favourite of the year or tunes I will think back to in years ahead

Clutch Pearlers is the second release from Clark from his new album Sus Dog produced by the peerless Thom Yorke Brilliant vocals and rumbling beat which deviates and changes direction perfectly. The last track Town Crank was hard hitting and very different. šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

Sit Around the Fire from last years album ā€˜Music for Psychedelic Therapy’ by @Jon_Hopkins_ featuring Ram Dass and eastforestmusic is mesmeric. The words, the delivery, the soundscape behind that leaves so much space to explore. Exceptional track from a superb album šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

Standing Still by The WAEVE is my favourite track on a brilliant record. The pair dance in complete harmony throughout and best demonstrated here. Graham Coxan brings unmistakable vocals with a slight American feel in the mould of Callahan or Sun Kill Moon.
