Year 3 had an amazing first day of forest school 2023, exploring our wonderful woodlands. #fabulousfirbeck

Year 3 had an fantastic day visiting Creswell Crags this week and learning all about the lives of Stone Age hunter gatherers! We visited the caves where people lived in the last Ice Age, we learned how to make shelters and we reconstructed the skeletons of hyenas and wolves!

Year 2 went to our school library today and had a fantastic time exploring all of our marvelous books! #fabulousfirbeck

Today we had a visitor from the University of Nottingham come to Firbeck to prepare us for our visit next week as University Detectives. Our visitor praised the children for being very attentive and engaged. We are very excited for next week! Firbeck Academy #FabulousFirbeck

Year 2 had a wonderful day today as University Detectives. They learned a lot about life at university and were extremely well behaved and engaged with the activities! They should all be very proud of themselves!

We had a special visitor this morning who taught us about eating healthily. We learned that fruit and vegetables contains vitamins and minerals which our body needs to grow strong and stay healthy. The children then made their own smoothie! Firbeck Academy #FabulousFirbeck

Today, Year 2 had a wonderful trip to the cinema in Nottingham to see Rally Road Racers.
