This is my new favorite tradition at OHE! I was lucky enough to see 13 of my former 4th graders this morning. Way to go, kiddos! 🎓

One of my favorite activities to practice math facts & multiples of a number. Students chose the kind of dice that is the best practice for themselves. 6-sided, 10-sided or 20-sided! 🎲🎲

Thanksgiving menu & “shopping” happening today. Important lessons about price comparisons and also that you have to pay for a turkey by the pound, not just pay $1.99 for a whole turkey. 😉

Loving this winter wonderland today. ❄️☃️❄️ We made it outside for about 90 minutes to build a snowman & get the driveway shoveled. My helper was REALLY good at moving snow back onto the driveway after me. 🤪

Today, we celebrate 163 years of Kansas statehood! From our farmers feeding the world to our rolling sunflower fields, Kansans have much to be proud of. I'll continue to do everything in my power to make our state the best place to live, work, & raise a family. Happy #KansasDay!

Our unit on Notable Kansans has come to an end. Each student researched a Kansan and presented information to their peers. Votes were taken in each class to decide which person had the most notable Kansan. Here are our winners!

The gift of time is one of the best gifts a teacher can get. 🙌🏼 I crossed 10 pretty big things off my To Do list today on our first collaboration day at the elementary level. I also met with my team, a vertical team and two other support teams for my students. SUCCESS! 👩🏻‍🏫

I’ve got a kindergartener super excited about the OHE Grade-Level Battle. She’s counting out pennies & got cash from her own piggy bank for the kindergarten jar. I’ve got pennies for the 4th grade jar. Which lucky grade gets our silver coins? 😉 💰 Fundraising goes until 9/20.
