Having a live Christmas tree is a great way to enjoy the holiday, but always be safe with open flame near the tree, the types of lighting to use, and where the tree is placed and keep the tree well watered. The Oak Ridge Fire Department wishes you a very safe and Merry Christmas!

With the threat of wintery weather this weekend looming on the horizon, the Oak Ridge Fire Department would like to remind you to never drive around traffic cones blocking the entire road. This typically means the road is blocked due to fallen trees, fallen powerlines or both.

The Oak Ridge Fire Department took advantage of the balmy summer temperatures to conduct some water rescue training today. A huge "Thank You" to the Oak Ridge Military Academy for allowing us to use their pool for this very timely training.
