Oak can find playtimes overwhelming at times. When there are new arrivals to our playground it is important we head out to try them and learn how to use them properly in quieter more manageable circumstances. Today we tried the amazing new roller skates! Joanne Bradley

Three Oak children joined in with the year 5/6 sleepover on Friday! They had the best time. Well done for pushing yourselves!

A huge well done to Oak for their CLASS ASSEMBLY this week!!! They were amazing! We were so proud of each other and really happy when the whole school danced with us at the end!

Oak had a lot of fun with our experiment in Science this week! We placed white roses into coloured water and have been monitoring the changes to the flower. It has been fun actually seeing the water being transported to different parts of the plant.

Oak had fun in Maths this week- from looking at halving quantities to telling the time!

Oak had a fun introduction to ANCIENT ROME! We had a look at some artefacts and tried on some clothes. It was good fun learning about how they lived such a long time ago and the children were intrigued to find out about places they conquered. We even painted our own swords!

Ancient Roman inspired flatbreads! The IPAD battery had died so I only managed to catch a few photos at the end!

In Science we explored using forces! We had an active lesson where we tested which items we had to use a 'push' or a 'pull' force with. In some cases it was both! Everyone had fun testing a variety of objects.

A huge well done to everyone on Sports Day! KS2 had a fun morning and tried their best. Oak joined their mainstream classes to race in the activities for their teams. It was hard trying to get around to all of them for photos- but did get a few nice ones!

After Sports Day and the hot afternoon we decided to celebrate with some ice cream pots- but with a twist! As many of the children have been learning about money in Maths we used coins to buy the ice cream, fruit and sprinkles!

Oak had fun in Science this week investigating friction. We tested out different materials to see which kinds caused a lot of friction and which caused the least using some toy cars.

As it's the last few weeks of term Oak are now choosing and voting for what they would like to cook! First up were lemon cakes! They went really well- and tasted great- so I am told!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAYLA! As it was the last Birthday of the year we had a special PINATA... the class played musical statues and then tried to hit the pinata with the stick. Unfortunately the IPAD wouldn't take any decent photos in the light.

BEACH TRIP!! Oak had the best time, weather was great, we found crabs, went paddling and just generally had fun. Many photos coming... can only upload four at a time! They were superstars today, well done Oak.
