After attending a Local Authority briefing today and listening to the Prime Minister this afternoon I will be sending an information letter to all families tomorrow. The main points follow: school will remain open until advised to close.

Whilst for most people Covid-19 is a mild virus, pupils should not attend school if they display a new cough or high temperature. If another household member has symptoms then all must stay at home for 14 days with no social contact. Please report absence in the usual way.

New York committed staff will continue to support pupils but it is likely that we will need to be flexible and creative should staff be absent. We will do our very best as always and would ask for your understanding and support during the coming days and weeks.

Staff are currently preparing a variety of work and learning opportunities for pupils to access if they are absent from school due to Covid-19. Public Health England state that for most people this is a mild virus from which most people will recover fully.

We have just watched the Prime Minister briefing and are sad to hear that all schools will close on Friday. Staff have prepared learning from home packs which will be distributed by Friday.

Well New Yorkers ... lets have some mid week madness ... let’s go Eye Bombing .... what will you make come to life? Thanks for the inspiration Can I go and play now!

Good morning New York. Hope you have enjoyed the summer break. We are looking forward to welcoming all pupils back to school next week. Parents will receive a letter this week reminding of the protocols and procedures in place to maximise the safety of pupils and staff.
