Check out this footage from inside the cockpit of a recent retardant drop over California fires, courtesy the 152nd Airlift Wing, Nevada Air Guard. While fires have subsided around the western U.S. (from what it was a month ago), crews remain working diligently there.

The Nevada National Guard has been called to assist Nevada Division of Forestry and overall firefighting efforts at the #DavisFire. The initial request is for handcrews and a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter when aerial firefighting resumes Sunday morning.

Two Nevada Army National Guard UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters are now supporting overall firefighting efforts on the #DavisFire in Washoe Valley. Additionally, Nevada Guard handcrews, trained by Nevada Division of Forestry, are working on the ground in this multi-agency effort.
