The amount of time it took me to realise that *the text is not a prompt to generate the penguin image* tells me a lot about the current state of my twitter feed.

#GDAL Pro Tip: gdalinfo has a flag -json that outputs the image metadata as a JSON. This allows you to extract any value easily for further processing. Example to extract the maximum value of a band using the 'jq' command. (1/2)

I've been using ChatGPT for a couple weeks daily now to assist me for coding work It forces me to explain my problem in a simple yet thorough manner. In many ways it's rubber ducking, but with a rubber duck that actually answers you with actually useful information

Although SO is often criticized for its rude and even hostile community members, my experience over the last five years has been largely positive. At times, comments can be terse, but often (not always) they are well-intended.

I'm preparing an #rstats shiny workshop ZHAW and will make a point that #rshiny has many interesting use cases besides “classical” web applications. I'm thinking: RStudio Addins, Prototyping, Proof of Concepts, teaching. Does anybody have some nice examples? #rstats

I must be honest: the implications of #ChatGPT scare me. But what I love about it is its patience. Since I'm not so patient reading long-winded answers, I've started appending “be brief” to each question.

I've been guilty of this in the past, but fortunately I'm reformed. Please, for the love of something holy, don't put library(tidyverse) in your code. Use individual tidy packages at will...they are great. But this tidyverse project is unbelievably bloated at this point. #RStats

That said, I'm having a hard time printing the units as they are usually noted (1 TWh/m² rather than h*TW/m^2). Is there a package that will print the units pretty 🌻, preferably in a way that plays nicely with Markdown?

Absolutely love the auto-animate feature of reveal.js! 😍 It's an incredible tool that effortlessly conveys complex concepts. In this showcase, I'm demonstrating the impact of layout functions on the UI in #rstats #shiny.

A tough discussion underway at the #GRASSGIS Community Meeting: Should “Location” be renamed to “Project” in the Graphical User Interface?
