I don’t think enough people have seen this. It’s Kurt Vonnegut talking to his wife about going out to get an envelope (we’re here on earth to fart around):

Damn, "Auburn" (the mini game I made in one week for #LOWREZJAM last year) just got featured! 🦊 This is my favourite thing I've ever made, and I'm really proud of the story and the way that it tells a heart-warming tale of characters from different cultures becoming friends! ☺️

An example with graphics: rough, simply-made artwork can be charming and evoke feelings that the game is personal and innovative. Art that's technically superior and requires much more time to make but isn't AAA quality? To players can feel generic, "mobile", store-bought, etc.

Many indiedevs try to ship their first commercial game directly to Steam. But if you can afford to develop in public and your genre is a good fit, start on Itch and build a fanbase first. Steam is great at multiplying, but only if you come with a rolling snowball.

We're currently porting the game to Godot 4 🩵🥳 and so we decided to take the Jolt physics engine for a ride! 😎👍 (🔊) #GodotEngine #indiedev #indiegame

My column on the men who simply CAN’T handle Mary Earps winning Sports Personality of the Year, and have consequently tried to ruin it for her theguardian.com/commentisfree/…
