No.9 partnered with Focus Forward for Indigenous Youth and Katarokwi Learning Centre to lead a workshop in a traditional birch bark canoe building experience for 30 students. This was led by Indigenous educator Wayne Bayer from the Wiikwemkong First Nations Community.

Thanks to Mary Jean for attending our launch! We're already seeing interest from teachers in Brockville to have their students come to No.9 Gardens to learn about growing food and creating resilient communities. It's important to get the next generation interested in farming!
