छठ पर्व का पहला दिन ; पौराणिक सनजत

छठ पर्व का दूसरा दिन: खरना (चैत्र शुक्ल पंचमी) इस चार दिवसीय पर्व में दूसरा दिन खरना के रूप में मनाया जाता है। इस दिन उपासक पूरे दिन निर्जल उपवास रखते हैं और संध्या में ‘खरना’ की पूजा के बाद प्रसाद ग्रहण करते हैं। इस दिन व्रती अगले 36 घंटों तक निर्जला उपवास का संकल्प लेते हैं।

छठ पर्व का तीसरा दिन (चैत्र शुक्ल पक्ष षष्ठी): संध्या अर्घ्य छठ पर्व का तीसरा दिन, जिसे संध्या अर्घ्य कहा जाता है, सर्वाधिक महत्वपूर्ण होता है। इस दिन व्रती एवं श्रद्धालु सूर्यास्त के समय किसी पवित्र जलाशय (नदी या तालाब ) में एकत्रित होकर भगवान सूर्य को अर्घ्य अर्पित करते हैं।

छठ पर्व का चौथा दिन: उषा अर्घ्य (चैत्र शुक्ल पक्ष सप्तमी) इस दिन व्रती उगते सूर्य को अर्घ्य अर्पित करते हैं। इस पूजा के बाद उपासक व्रत तोड़ते हैं, जिसे ‘पारण’ कहा जाता है। इस दिन भक्तजन घर-परिवार और समाज के कल्याण की कामना करते हैं।
