Peaks Island City of Portland, Maine Portland Press Herald Maine is home to 900 residents and is a major tourist destination in the summer, swelling to 5000 daily visitors. The CNL Brown University mapped nighttime dB(A) in the winter and will return in the summer to see how the soundscape changes.
