Phonemic awareness screening, diagnostic tasks, and working with community partners. All hands on deck to ensure our kids are safe and successful. Thank you LKDSB Elem Program Sarnia Fire Rescue & Confederation Central School staff!
We learn to do hard things, by doing hard things. Thanks to the staff at Caradoc Public School for giving up lunch breaks and taking on extra responsibilities to give kids a chance to set goals, build resilience, and take on new challenges. E was proud to complete her 1st X-country run🏃🏼♀️!
Play is the engine of learning. Lillian’s teacher shared this making 10’s game. Going beyond memorization and making connections. We are building her first derived facts. If I know 5+5=10, then I know that 5+4= one less, or 9. I also know 5+6 is one more or 11. #mtbos Caradoc Public School
There is no equity without literacy and numeracy. Thank you to the staff at Caradoc Public School and InvestinginChildren for volunteering their time to prepare and share a wonderful literacy and math night with our community.
Have we over-protected kids in the real world and under-protected them in the virtual one? If you have, work with, or care about children, this is a must read. a.co/d/9mhQjAE Jonathan Haidt
You know what I love? Any event where we get to stand up and tell people how important they are to us, share the qualities we admire most, and the difference they make in our lives. Thank you @confedschool grads for a wonderful evening and successful year! #onted #edchat Lambton Kent DSB
👉 The only way to do great, meaningful work is to surround yourself with talented, driven, & dedicated people & let them lead the way. It’s been an honour to lead the tremendous staff Confederation Central School this year & I look forward to continuing our 🎯 of doing great stuff for kids!
The 2024 Lambton Kent DSB Elementary Summer Institue is in full swing. Teachers volunteering their time to learn about literacy, math, coding, and tech tools for instruction.
❤️118th to 113th this year! Super proud of E for all the hard work she put into this season. So many important lessons learned; work hard to get better, we learn to do hard things— by doing hard things, and finish what you start! 🙏 to all the staff Caradoc Public School 👏
For me, nothing beats an in-person workshop where we come together to share ideas, think about the craft of teaching, and leave with the excitement of sharing our learning with our students and team. Thanks to LKDSB Elem Program for hosting today’s session!
