Due to high fire danger, all brush permits (Category III Permits) in the town of New Ipswich will be suspended until further notice. Campfires with valid permits will still be allowed but all state laws apply. Thank you for your assistance

Due to high fire danger and red flag warnings, all category II (campfires) and Category III (brush) permits in the town of New Ipswich are suspended today, Friday 4/22. All category III (brush) permits will also be suspended Today through Sunday 4/24 at 5pm.

The predicted fire danger today is high. Special Weather Statement issued for elevated fire weather danger. Potential for uncontrolled fire spread due to dry and windy conditions in combination with dead and drying fuels.

Starting tomorrow, all outside burning in the town of New Ipswich will be suspended until further notice. This includes all Category II (campfires) and Category III (brush). The ban is due to the high fire danger posting from the state and extremely dry conditions in surface fuel

The national weather serve has issued a Red Flag Warning for our area. This means that any outside fire can spread rapidly. The burn ban remains in effect for New Ipswich until further notice. This applies to all cooking, camping and brush burning.
