🍊CRUSHIN IT🍊 Ms. Moua is a new face around here and hit the ground running! Her students are enjoying her 8th grade ELA class and the energy she brings. Mr. Miller is our AD and keeps up moving smoothly through seasons all while teaching students healthy ways to live!

Congrats to Mr. Coysh and Ms. Corey for being recognized with WCPSS Employee Excellence awards for the month of November. There were over 100 submissions district wide and TWO Ravens were awarded! There is excellence at the River!

Class is back in session for our students AND teachers! Mr. Sovereign presented research on EL students and how to best support their learning. 🗣️Students learn best by having their first language available to them as they learn the content in their second language!

Standing room only!!! Mr. Sheppard and his band students put on an amazing concert. 6th graders were teaching the audience about the parts of their instruments and 8th grade advanced band was showing off their skills! Well done Ravens! The Arts are thriving here at the River!

At the start of 2025, our student leaders welcome Dr. Taylor, Robert Taylor, to Neuse River Middle School. They got to tell him about the opportunities they have had at our school and show him all the good work going on in our building. Come back any time Dr. Taylor!

Reality of Money is one of our favorite events of the year. Students get to work through real life situations and see the importance of education and life long goals! Thank you the State Employee’s Credit Union and our community volunteers!

Making history and inspiring futures! Jessica Day is the first Black mayor of Knightdale. A trailblazer, leader, and symbol of excellence during Black History Month and beyond. Mr. Thompson from the Farm Bureau spoke to students about life as a farmer. He spoke about his career, how weather plays a role in farming, & how technology has revolutionized the farming industry. This bridged a gap between what we are learning and the "real" world of farming.
