Happy National Counselor’s Week! Newberry is very fortunate to have Mrs.Ferree as our school counselor. Thank you for your continued support with the students, staff, and families.

Newberry’s student council conducted a food drive to predict this year’s Super Bowl winner. From the results of our food drive, Newberry students predict the Eagles will win. Thank you to everyone who participated. All food items will be donated to Silence of Mary.

Newberry is celebrating our word of the month, Honesty. The students are participating in fun activities to celebrate honesty.

Newberry’s 1st graders celebrated Read Across America with a fun reading activity. The students participated in flash light and partner reading.

Newberry students and families are having a blast at our Chocolate Touch Book Bash. Students and families are making slime, weighing chocolate bars, and eating ice cream.

Newberry students and staff have been busy all week kicking off Read Across America. Newberry students and staff participated in a fun activity identifying various book titles, characters, and the setting. We had a special guest, Rascal show up to our event,

Do you like green eggs and ham? In celebration of Read Across America, our second graders ate green eggs and ham. Thank you to our wonderful parents and teachers for making this a special day.

Newberry students and staff had a blast at our monthly school assembly. We celebrated the word of the month, Cooperation. Many students received individual awards for showing Cooperation this month.

Newberry’s PTO Book Faire is revving up for a fun night. Tonight’s event starts at 5:00 pm.

Newberry community is having a blast at the PTO Book Faire. Thank you BAPS Motor Speedway for partnering with the PTO to support this event. Officer Taylor, Newberry’s TEAM officer stopped by to visit with students and community members.

Newberry students voted on our new mascot’s name…and the students selected Paws. Today, Paws visited with students and participated in bowling with 3rd graders during phys. ed.

On Friday, April 21st Newberry celebrated Courage, the word of the month! One student from every classroom was recognized for showing Courage!

On Saturday, April 22nd two teachers from Newberry ran 3.1 miles in Logan’s 5k run and family walk for Autism. We also had several other staff participate in the walk.

Thank you Alpine Tree Company for partnering with Mr. Mull’s 2nd grade class to plant a Black Gum tree for National Arbor Day!

Newberry’s 5th graders conducted by music teacher Mrs. Graft sang the National Anthem for the Harrisburg Senators game tonight. Everyone did an awesome job:)

Newberry 5th graders are celebrating the completion of their Teaching Educating and Mentoring(TEAM) program focused on helping our students make positive choices. Thank you Officers Tyson and Taylor from Newberry Police Department for your continued support and partnership.

Newberry students are having a blast with their annual field day and student council FundRun. Thank you Mr. Rowe, Ms. Diehl, Ms. Rozanski, student council and everyone who helped make this a memorable experience for all students!

Newberry’s band, chorus and orchestra performed a school-wide concert. They will be performing again at 6:00 pm for their family and friends.

What an awesome turnout from our Newberry families and friends who came out tonight to support our 4th and 5th graders spring concert. A big Thank You to our music teachers Mrs. Graft and Mrs. Walmer!

Newberry’s 4th graders are hosting their annual Wax Museum. Every 4th grader researched a famous person, wrote a brief essay, and share an overview of their character when someone visits them. Great job students!
