Well, 2 years in and Covid finally got me! Main symptoms so far are my traditional 'I've got a mild cold so I'll cough like I smoke 60 a day" cough, a nasty sore throat and the sort of fatigue that comes in waves and hits like a brick when it does.

Feeling pretty rough with Covid but this cheered me up! Very excited (and a bit nervous about fitting in distance learning alongside my job for the next three years!!)

My mood has been so much better since I took an extended Twitter break (but that may be due to marvellous HRT💪or my lovely new role as a community midwife ❤️) But, I missed the lovely folk I interacted with on here so I thought I'd pop back and have a catch up.

I have struggled *for years* with being both bereaved mother & midwife on Twitter. Leah's thread about reviling midwives unlocked some of the things that, for a very long time, I have thought but feared to say in case of a trauma relapse. Leah's response is excellent, def. read!

1 wk in, I am already a bit scared of the amount of work I have to fit in for my Masters. I am also utterly fascinated by it and totally sure I made the right choice. Grateful to Newcastle Hospitals for support to complete this over the next 3 yrs. #perinatalmentalhealth

As always, I never quite know what to say or do for #BLAW. It's so important and these stories need to be heard. But it's Emma's birthday too and that will always be where my heart and my head are in these days before her day 💔

It might be 15 yrs, but my body and mind hold grief always. October and, bam, I have insomnia again, my concentration wavers, I'm cranky. I want to hibernate. I miss Emma every day but I will feel the missing more every day between now and the 14th. #foreverbaby
