In Children’s Chapel this Stewardship Sunday, our kids filled out their own commitment cards, while the adults generously filled out theirs. Together, all ages of our congregation reflected on how we can return the gift of God's love and "give to god the things He gave me."

Happy Thanksgiving! This week, we spread God’s generosity by collecting food and making lasagna dinners for Martha’s Table and the UDC’s food pantry. As we reflect on the past year, praise God, and give thanks for the support, love, and community here at National.

This week, we lit the first purple candle of Advent, representing hope and beginning our preparation for Christ! At All Church Advent Night, we celebrated by crafting wreaths and worshiping God. Through faith, our hope flourishes, and through Advent, we reflect on this lesson.

I’m so grateful to have been able to attend an incredibly joyous holiday concert with Choralis at National Presbyterian, Washington DC last night. The concert included a wonderfully uplifting world premiere of my ‘Rejoice and be merry’ for choir, brass quintet, organ and percussion.

This week, we lit the second candle of Advent, representing Peace! As we reflect on what’s personally brought us peace this past year -- also consider the peace we support, work towards, and pray for nationally and internationally.

All are welcome and no tickets are necessary to attend this joyful performance of Handel's Messiah to celebrate the holiday season. Please join us in the NPC Sanctuary this Sunday at 5pm!

Joy! That is this week’s theme as we light the third candle of Advent. As we celebrate and eagerly await Christ’s birth, reflect on the joy of this year. Please share and extend this lesson from God this week, and help us as we celebrate our joy (small or large) before Christmas!

Christmas Eve is a time to worship, celebrate, and be surrounded by community. Join NPC on this very special night at 8 pm or 10 pm for our candlelight service as we eagerly prepare for the birth of Christ!

The final candle of Advent is upon us: Love. There is so much love that we are lucky enough to share as a community: our family, our friends, and our relationship with God. Love is one of the most important lessons that God has blessed us with. Share it in abundance!
