We knew it'd be challenging to run a campaign in Svalbard for a full year. Let's say this spring didn't make it any less challenging.😅 We're not sure when we can go back, so for now we practice our skills in remote control and get lots of on site help from @NorskPolar. #COVID19

HoloBalloon is measuring again in #NyAlesund to measure Arctic clouds despite all the obstacles. Great work of Julie Pasquier, Jörg Wieder and Guangyu Li. #NASCENT #Arctic

Last summer was an interesting season for our ongoing black carbon aerosol size distribution measurements in Svalbard as part of the NASCENT: Ny-Ålesund Aerosol and Cloud Experiment campaign. Looks like this summer will be even more interesting...

Hej Twitter, it has been a while since we posted something on our #NASCENT campaign. So we start with some nice tunes from our in-house musician and PhD student Gabriel Freitas: instagram.com/p/CDhTn5IDFEz/… @NorskPolar Department of Environmental Science at Sthlm Uni

After almost 18 months of COVID-caused absence, the SU-Team Department of Environmental Science at Sthlm Uni has finally made it back to #ZeppelinObservatory in #NyAlesund to fix instrumentation & keep our aerosol/cloud observations running. Good to be back! 🎉 ACTRIS Sweden @NorskPolar FORCeS 📷 T. Hennig

The #CIMS team are finally back in #NyAlesund! Here the sun is shining, we have spotted a polar fox, lots of seals and birds and a reindeer. All good! Tomorrow we're going up to #ZeppelinResearchStation.

We have our instruments where the clouds are - 475 m above sea level at the #ZeppelinObservatory. You get there by a 14 min ride by cable car and the view is truly stunning!
