Firefighters attended a home on Bruce Lake Drive yesterday for a smoke investigation. Crews found a hot water tank burning in the attic space, this was extinguished. No injuries. Please ensure you have ‘working’ smoke and CO alarms. ‘Working’ means functioning & under 10 yrs.

Muskoka Lakes Fire Department members will be in the Bala area today as part of the annual Door-to-Door Home Smoke Alarm Campaign. They will discuss the importance of working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and a practiced home escape plan.
