Over this week's patrols, our volunteers checked in with the community, reported on concerns raised by residents, gave out water and socks, engaged in conversations and let folks know that they are welcome to our office if they ever need help, information or resources.

We're doing our job to serve the Mount Pleasant community, but also because it's the right thing to do 😊

Today, one of our patrols encountered a woman in distress, talking about ending her life. Our volunteers spoke to her and monitored her until first responders arrived. Something as simple as "Hi, how are you?" can make an impact. We are here for our community. #CommunityPolicing

Out but not DOWN. Despite recently evacuating our office, we shoulder on and operations continue out of Heritage Hall. Our patrols have called first responders to help folks and reported on resident concerns. We won't let anything keep us from doing our part for our neighbourhood

Our foot patrol stopped in for a visit to connect with our valued community partners at the Broadway Youth Resource Center - an organization in the heart of Mount Pleasant dedicated to empowering and supporting youth. If you are a youth (13-25)go check them out at 2455 Fraser St

Rain, shine and anything in between, we are the Community Policing Centre that is operating in and committed to Mount Pleasant. You will see our volunteers out on daily patrols, ready and willing to offer their help to anyone in need. #communitypolicing #vpd
