Last week, my students learned about indirect characterization and made their very own pop-up characters using S.T.E.A.L. (Speech, thoughts, effects, actions, and looks). There were some super creative examples. I had so much fun marking these!

Today, we played Kahoot! to review what we learned throughout our Short Stories unit these past two weeks. The students were super engaged and were asking for more questions when it was over. 😃

Shaking things up for Valentine’s Day! We’re going to have a subject-verb agreement auction, and play “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” with sentence types!

A very exciting day! This is my second degree from University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC), a school that I initially moved away from home to attend. I now consider Prince George to be home. I am thrilled to begin my teaching career this September in School District No. 57 (Prince George)
