As 1st graders, we have been learning about different ways to read books in our classroom. Sometimes we get the chance to read with a partner. When we read with a partner, we sit elbow to elbow and knee to knee (EEKK). Check it out!📚 Robert Hunter

Today we celebrated Johnny Appleseed Day in 1st grade! We learned all about John Chapman and did various apple activities. Check out our apple writing and our craft!🍎 Robert Hunter

It wouldn’t be Johnny Appleseed day without eating some apples! Students helped make homemade applesauce. We peeled and cut the apples, added sugar and cinnamon, and let it cook in the crockpot for a few hours! We ended our day with a taste test - delicious!🍎🤩 Robert Hunter

In Science, students explored how shadows are created. They also observed what happened to their shadows over the course of the school day. The position of the sun in the sky changed, so the location and length of their shadows also changed!☀️👤 Robert Hunter FlemRarSchools
