We are learning to sort! Sorting means we put things in groups following a rule. I know I can do this when: I can sort things by colour, shape, or size! I can sort things and say my sorting rule.

Today we learned about the parts of an apple!🍎 Then we decided to make APPLE SAUCE!🥣😌 It was so good, and we made so much, that we decided to share it with our Reading Buddies class!❤️👫

In Math, our challenge outside was to each find 5 apples!🍏🍎 Then we put them all together and estimated how many apples we found as a class.

Our first Kindergarten field trip of the year was to the 🎃PUMPKIN PATCH!🎃 We explored corn mazes🌽, pet animals🐴, rode a tractor-pulled hay ride🚜, went on a spooky walk👻, and picked our own pumpkins🧡! One of our favourite annual trips!🚌🤎

After reading the retell of the folk tale “Stone Soup” by Heather Forest, we learned that the if each person makes a small contribution, the impact can be huge! Our Kinders each brought in vegetables, and helped prepare them for our soup! 🍲 Yum! #BelongingAndContributing

This week we have been reading “Sadie and the Snowman”. Thanks to this snowy winter weather we’ve been having, our class was able to do a retell outside, using the same items to recreate Sadie’s snowmen. 🍪🍌🍎🥒🥕⛄️📖💛

Yesterday we celebrated St Patrick’s day by learning about and painting rainbows. We also were visited by a leprechaun! So we designed and built traps to catch him! 🍀⭐️🎨
