3rd graders are identifying lessons in stories in ELA. How do we tie that into our ESL groups? We read the Whittemore fan favorite “Gazpacho for Nacho” where Nacho learns to try new things! Then we write sentences and think about how we can connect this lesson to our lives!

While not everyone celebrates Halloween, we can still learn factual information about the holiday through texts and write paragraphs! Language Objectives: I can write an opening statement to identify information. I can write factual statements.
