Yesterday we read the book One Tiny Turtle by Nicola Davies, and we had SO.MANY.QUESTIONS. When you want to know more about something, one option is to ask an expert. So, that’s what we did! Huge thank you to Loggerhead Marinelife Center for the virtual field trip and answering our many Q’s!

Let the research begin! Using #PebbleGo, Epic for Kids, and other sources, Ss are compiling information on an aquatic animal’s body features, habitat, food sources, and life cycle. Seesaw is the perfect app to help us organize all our learning. Stay tuned for how we share!

We’re researching aquatic animals as a class, but Ss also use their independent time to research a topic of their choice & create nonfiction writing using the facts. We love #PebbleGo for the info & Seesaw for organizing! Thanks to Jessica Smith for inspiring these curious kids.

Today we worked in groups to hunt for nonfiction text features. The best part was that we got to “tag” each text feature with a neon sticky note. Who doesn’t love text features AND office supplies? 🤣 Next, we’ll use text features to locate info!
