One of my photo 1 classes teamed up with Ms. Spicer’s engineering class today to photograph their pallet projects. Students worked under pressure and got to experience what being on a live photoshoot would feel like.

Ispy challenges! Utilizing the rules of composition and studio lighting, students created their own themed ispy pages! This project was so much fun and by far the class favorite.

My favorite time of the day is when I get to print student photos and see their true quality. I’m loving how all of these came out.

What I love most is when students stop by my classroom just to say hi. Instead of talking or hanging out with their friends, they are choosing to talk to a teacher. That’s when I know I made an impact on them.

Every Friday I play “Friday” by Rebecca Black in each class and it helps set the tone for the day!

Had so much fun today at Teen Arts! I’m beyond proud of all the students from NHS who participated this year and I’m so excited to see some of their work at the Best In Visual Arts Exhibition later this month. Monmouth Arts Kevin McCarthy

Had so much fun today reviewing for the final with an escape room. Students had to find photography clues around the classroom to find the hidden key that would unlock a camera bag. I honestly wasn’t sure how this would work out but I’m so glad I went for it!
