Students had to retell and sequence If Your Monster Won’t Go To Bed this week. They ended the week working with partners to write their own steps to putting a monster to bed. Then they shared their steps with the class! It was amazing seeing their excitement and hard work today!

I love authentic moments. 💕S MW had the word doe. S didn’t know what a doe is.I defined and sang a classic. then S learned the song and solfège hand signs. S even pointed out trick words! Then we learned about viviparous and oviparous animals. Do you know which one a doe is?

Students learned about sunflowers and their seeds this week. To celebrate the week, we took a walking field trip to see sunflowers and then ate sunflower seeds while working on a sunflower craft. It was a fun day in 1st grade.

Last week students learned ways to help take care of the earth. To reinforce what they learned, Recycle Hancock County came in and did a lesson. Students had so much showcasing all that they’ve learned and even learned a few new things!

Finished the year with the best team! I wouldn’t have made it without them. Blessed to work at Weston! Weston has the best staff and kiddos!

Weston teachers are so excited that our kids got to join the new Cougar Cubs Preschool class that was added to Weston! Happy first day!
