Last week we had the opportunity to visit the Senedd. A great way to start the school year and our topic ‘democracy’. We are looking forward to the next few weeks and voting in our own school elections.

Welcome to Dosbarth Coch! Thank you to everyone who were able to attend this week’s Meet the Teacher! We had so much fun exploring Mathletics, Reading Eggs and making fruit kebabs using the repeated patterns we’ve been working on in our Maths lessons. Da iawn, pawb! 🍎

In class, we’ve been reading ‘If I were Prime minister’ This has inspired us to think of what we would do if we could make up the rules. What do you think of our mini manifestos?🍎

We are starting to think about our new topic and our big question ‘I wonder how food keeps me alive’. We first thought about what we already know and then questions we would like to answer.

Yesterday ICE Wales Cymru 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 visited us to deliver their harvest workshop. We learnt that Christians thank god for making and growing the food at Harvest time 🍎

Last week some of year 6 pupils presented their ideas to the school about why they think they would be great First Ministers of our pupil voice groups. They all done a fantastic job and worked really hard on their presentations. Da iawn, pawb!

Thank you to all those who were able to attend our Meet the Teacher morning last week. It was lovely to meet some of you and to show you Hwb, Reading Eggs, Mathletics and Google Classroom platforms that can be used both in school and at home.

We have learning to tell the time and convert between digital and analogue in Dosbarth Gwyrdd today. We found it challenging but we were resilient and persevered!
