I'm currently reading Colin Caffell's book 'In Search Of The Rainbow's End'. He's the dad of the two little boys, Nicholas and Daniel, who were killed in the Whitehouse Farm murders. This quote is one of the chapter headings. It really resonated with me.

A year ago today

A year ago today 'I'm sending that to my father in law. A few years ago, he was in hospital in December with pneumonia. We were lucky, he got home for Christmas. My mother in law said "I knew he'd be back. There's two unopened bottles of Bushmills in the cupboard." Bless him.'
