My dysplasia/cancer analogy for patients involves an LNER train from London to Edinburgh. I’m living it and reassessing it today. Currently just pulled into Peterborough (mild dysplasia) on my way to Newcastle (severe dysplasia). You can guess the rest.

Touch typing essential for front of house med reg. Not sure what hurts more - the keys, their fingers after typing so much, or my brain after reading what they’ve written. (For clarification and reassurance I am not the med reg, I have merely stolen a consulting room)

Ramen, Pho, Wonton soup, Laksa, Kitsune udon, Dumpling soup, Shin Ramen. Honestly give me any noodle in a decent broth and it will instantly be the greatest meal of all time, my mind will not be changed

Delay Repay is great on the front of it - but it does seem a bit mad refunding 100% of a ticket… A full LNER train from London to Edinburgh looks like it’ll be giving 100% refunds to most passengers… Is it a contributing factor to astronomical rail fares?

2 years, 6 scopes, 3 laparotomies, 1 emergency Hartmann’s, 2 different bags, 4 months off work and now finally 1 discharge from the surgical team. Almost like it never happened! Massive thanks to all the Barts Health team for a memorable few years of excellent care!

The little bit of good news and reassurance that I needed to see today. Not that it was ever in doubt of course.
