7 years of teaching and somehow I’ve managed to pull out the same onesie every year for Children in Need 😂

In what will be my 8th year of teaching, I’m super excited to be taking on Key Stage 1 phase lead from September 🙌🏼

This might be common knowledge but after 7 years of teaching, I had a brainwave today… Instead of cutting my display lettering out twice, do it once and then line it up in the laminating pouches so you can cut the letters in groups, rather than individually 😂 Saved me hours!

Would anyone mind sharing photos of/expertise around Year 1 outdoor areas? We have a large space under canopy but struggle with what provision to have out there…

HELP! Our Y1 children are just not looking after equipment despite modelling everything, taking things away, assigning adults to different areas… What do you do in your school to combat sheer destruction of resources? 😂

A few of my Y1 continuous provision activities this week 🥰 Maths Tuff Tray 🧸 Counting the correct number and colour bears to match each house. This was for our SEN break out space. What’s in the box? 📦 Children use their Phonics to have a go at spelling the items they see.

In what has been a very busy start to the new school year, there are always moments like this that bring a smile to my face 🤣🤣🤣 Out of context, this hand-written note from a boy in my class looks wholly inappropriate… it’s actually not that bad with context! 🙊
