A customer hired a budget accessibility firm. They said the site was “2.1 AA compliant.” I found multiple issues including ones that could lead to lawsuits in under 10 minutes. And I'm not even a fully trained tester, I just know fundamentals. You get what you pay for, I guess.

Is your cookie banner actually #accessibility ready? 🍪 Many popular #WordPress cookie consent plugins fail basic WCAG standards, even if they claim to be conformant in their marketing. This could expose your site to legal risks. Trust, but verify. buff.ly/lGhv6HC

Is an Accessibility Maturity Model really "redundant"? Karl Groves wrote about this and made some great points in favor of AMMs. Maybe the pushback on AMMs is just another facet of the same systemic resistance we see elsewhere. Food for thought. 🤔

Remember that accessible website you built six months ago, but haven't looked at since? This is why we say accessibility is a journey and not a destination. Ongoing monitoring is not optional, folks. 👏

We’ve been building a new WordPress plugin, and it’s felt like walking a tightrope between "not enough" and "too much". We want to be proud of it, not paralyzed by perfection. Launch when it's useful, not when it's finished.

If you have an espresso machine and make yourself the occasional cappuccino, I can't stress this enough... Put a couple of heaping teaspoons of hot cocoa mix in your milk before you steam it. Then, make your cappuccino like normal. It's magic in a cup. ☕️ You're welcome.
