Writer of Yesterday's Kisses Are Still On My Lips, a not-yet produced screenplay rejected by every shop in town. "Where's the dramatic arc?" Um, it's a comedy.

HARD RAIN (98) Slater as armored truck guard who must deal w/thieves, crooked police, a fierce IN rainfall & a flooded town while protecting $3M in company vehicle. Fast-paced action flick isn't epic-scale but does have suspenseful scenes, colorful characters, some good humor.

WANDERING HEART (21) Terrific drama in Spanish has 40-ish single gay dad obsessed w/winning back his ex, anxious to make a connection & not be alone. Transitory affection can be crushing but character is never pitiable; he's forced to accept loneliness as something he can manage.

BOMBSHELL (19) The taking down of sexist pig Roger Ales Fox News by Gretchen Carlson and aided by Megyn Kelly. It's not "All the President's Man", but dir. Roach keeps it colorful w/personalities passing by. Theron has meatiest role as Kelly, tho Robbie has the stand-out scene.

They can't hold me here They can't tie me to this address They can't shame me for my dreams They can't blame me for their mess They see the way I look at you And they think they know it all Like how much I'd like to free you too From their clutches before night falls
