Middle distance/ distance training: Sprint every 3-4 days. No need to only spike up and accelerate down a track. Plyometrics Jumps, hills, and Olympic lifts tremendously taps into central nervous system (CNS). With 7 trillion nerves, many have been up tapped.

3k/5k/ 10k training: Once you’ve filled the cup of the aerobic system, provide diff stimulus’s. Ex.. race pace modeling (get out, maintain, finish). Short and long recoveries provide diff stimulus’s. The long term effect of rotating diff stimuli's are exceptional. Be patient.

Middle distance training: After deeper dissection and research. The human body is capable of much more. In my humble, 2mins is too slowly. Let's dig deeper, let’s go further. 1:56- 1:57/1:43-1:44 should be the standard. When holistic = physical fitness, the world is our oyster.

I’m not surprised but very fulfilling to see the final results of the Men’s US 800m Nationals. Integration of speed has seemed to come back over. The aerobic is there. Efficiency is the missing link. The human body is capable of much more.

Middle-distance/Distance training: Observing the cooldown is as essential as the warm ups. Did he/she overextend, are they conversing/smiling, are they mechanically still in-tuned? Cooldowns tells us about upcoming sessions and what the current session did.
