Célébrons le Jour de la Terre! 🌎🌱Our kinders worked with recyclables like newspaper, plastic lids & elastics to make our own seed paper, paper maché & loose part planet Earths. We explored water pollution as we tried cleaning oil off feathers & sea creatures! #EarthDay2022

Our kinders never cease to amaze us! They independently drew such creative🦄& hilarious💩images on their 5x5 grids & input them in Basic “show LEDs” blocks in MakeCode! Batteries attached, they proudly showed off their coded animations to all around the room (our ducklings too!)

Just registered with Kristen Heckman ! I’m really looking forward to further exploring the Power of Playful Math (and to returning to my alma mater Faculty of Education in one of my favourite cities too! 🥰👍) Who wants to join us?!

C’est le vendredi STIM et nos petits ingénieurs démontrent leur créativité! 🎉 “Can you design an umbrella to keep your little person dry?”☔️ They tested out their designs with a gentle spray “rain” & checked if their people were wet! Lots of problem-solving on this rainy day!🌧

It was so wonderful to welcome families back into the classroom this year for Meet The Team night! I forgot just how much I missed those special connections & witnessing our young Ss introduce their families.🥰Building relationships is such an essential part of education!🤝🫶
