We made a #CI for our #STP unit this week as a class. It was quite the process and required a lot of time, communication, thinking, and playing around with sentences but we came up with something pretty great. #risktakers #pypxprep

G5 ss took part in debates during our #STP unit. I was so impressed with their planning, researching, writing, and presentation skills! Many ss also improved their thinking and communication skills by listening and thinking on the spot! Check out a short clip of one group.

Today, we got into large groups based on our passions. Then, we shared the personal, local, and global issues we are interested in exploring to form our #exhibition groups. #PYPX #g5 There was a lot of authentic and mature discussion happening to decide on groups.

#pypx team building day! Groups worked together to take on two different #designthinking challenges. First task: build a tin foil boat that can hold the most weight before sinking. #g5

Second #designthinking challenge: build a tower as high as possible that can support a satellite dish to call for help in order to be rescued from a deserted island. #define ➡️#ideate ➡️#prototype ➡️#test repeat as necessary. #teambuilding #pypx #g5

Students co-created a #centralidea for our #stp unit today. It was their first time doing this challenging task but they killed it! We looked at the #keyconcepts and brainstormed #relatedconcepts. Then connected two or three concepts into one enduring understanding. #g5 #pyp
