The Carer’s Allowance earnings limit increase announced in the #AutumnBudget today is unprecedented. After years of our campaigning, we are pleased that working carers can now take on additional hours to earn up to £196 per week from April 2025, or over £10,000 a year.

The first major change to Carer's Allowance since it was introduced (1970s), it's scandalous carers have been overlooked for so long. But those who are unable to work due to their caring role will have heavy hearts knowing they just have to continue living on a subsistence rate.
