Math warm up game today... Miss Foreman Says!

We celebrated Earth Day yesterday by heading outside and writing poems about nature that we saw around us!

What a great PA Day in 4th grade! We Zoomed with Senator Carolyn Comitta, created our own Hex Sign designs, virtually visited a colonial plantation, and even sampled some snacks from Pennsylvania!

We had a blast celebrating filling our marble jar with Fort Day yesterday! We made our own personal forts and read in them with flashlights! 🔦

We have been working so hard the past few weeks on our writing stamina during Writer’s Workshop. We started at 2 minutes and 47 seconds of writing time and have it to 22 minutes and 50 seconds now! Way to go second grade!

What a great field trip to Longwood Gardens yesterday! We learned all about plant parts, healthy vs. unhealthy plants, what plants need to grow, and even got to explore the gardens! 🪴🌼

We had a fun 100th day of second grade yesterday! We celebrated by brainstorming our favorite things from the year so far, played a Kahoot, worked on hundreds chart puzzles, estimated how many dice rolls to 100, and wrote what we would do if we had $100!

We had a great time running and walking this morning for Laps for Lucas! Way to go Roadrunners!

So excited to welcome these roadrunners to second grade on Monday!

Today we read “Chrysanthemum” and talked about how our words are powerful and how hard it is to take back what we say. We promise to be kind and think before we speak!

From our Fun Run this morning, to a recess dance party, to a Dino Run, the “Fantastic Fast Foremans” had a great day!
