Hoping and wishing that "this isn't who we are" is a sad fantasy at this point. It ignores the depth of the hate and intolerance in our communities that can be the only cause of this. At a certain point, this is who we are. Acknowledging that is the only way to move forward.

We remain committed to identifying the root causes of racism, the resulting harm, and proactively breaking down the barriers in government actions to address systemic inequities.

Our Anti-Racism strategy is constantly evolving and we will continue to consult and seek feedback from partners and stakeholders to further develop the strategy going forward.
